Job Description

The FPSO Process Operator operates and monitors all process systems on the FPSO, including crude stabilization, gas compression, water treatment, and utility systems. This role requires both the technical competency of an offshore process operator and the marine safety awareness required to work safely on a floating production vessel at sea.

Responsibilities

FPSO Process Operations

  • Operate and monitor FPSO process equipment: separators, compressors, treaters, and dehydrators.
  • Execute startups, shutdowns, and process adjustments under approved operating procedures.
  • Monitor process parameters via DCS and respond to alarms and process upsets.
  • Perform chemical injection management and production sampling activities.

Marine Safety & Vessel Operations Awareness

  • Maintain STCW Basic Safety competencies for vessel emergencies.
  • Participate in FPSO muster, lifeboat, and firefighting drills.
  • Comply with FPSO marine and process safety management system requirements.

Maintenance Support & Compliance

  • Support planned maintenance activities as an authorized PTW issuer.
  • Complete shift handover documentation and maintain accurate production records.
  • Report all H2S events, gas releases, and process anomalies immediately.
Requirements
  • Diploma or BSc in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or Marine Engineering.
  • OPITO FPSO Operator Certificate (mandatory).
  • STCW Basic Safety Training (mandatory).
  • CompEx Ex01–04 for ATEX zone work.
  • H2S Awareness and escape set training.
  • Minimum 5 years of FPSO or offshore process operations experience.
