The Offshore HSE Officer is the frontline safety guardian for all offshore operations, ensuring that every activity is executed in full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. This role demands a proactive, visible safety leadership presence on the platform, with the ability to identify hazards before they become incidents and build a robust safety culture within the crew.

Health, Safety & Environmental Oversight
- Conduct daily HSE inspections, hazard observations, and risk assessments across all work areas.
- Issue and oversee Permits to Work (PTW) for all non-routine and high-risk activities.
- Monitor compliance with HSSE management systems, operator requirements, and Suriname OHS regulations.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances using structured root cause analysis.
Emergency Response & Drills
- Coordinate and participate in emergency response drills (fire, man overboard, well control, MEDEVAC).
- Serve as HSE Coordinator during muster and emergency response activations.
- Maintain emergency response plans and ensure all personnel are briefed.
Training & Safety Culture
- Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to all crew members.
- Track HSE training compliance, certifications, and competency records.
- Champion a positive safety culture through behavioral safety programs and visible leadership.
