Job Description

The Materials Controller manages the receipt, storage, tracking, and issuance of all materials, equipment, and spares across warehouse and onshore facilities. This role is essential to maintaining accurate inventory records, reducing material losses, and ensuring operational teams have timely access to the materials they need to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials and equipment deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP MM (goods receipt, transfer orders, stock adjustments).
  • Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Manage minimum/maximum stock levels and reorder triggers.

Warehouse Operations

  • Organize and maintain the warehouse to ensure safe, efficient, and orderly storage.
  • Issue materials to operational teams against approved material requisitions.
  • Manage hazardous materials storage, labelling, and handling in compliance with COSHH.
  • Coordinate returns, disposals, and surplus material management.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Produce daily and weekly inventory reports and stock status updates.
  • Maintain complete documentation for all material movements (GRN, GIN, transfers).
  • Support procurement with delivery tracking and goods receipt confirmation.
Requirements
  • Diploma or BSc in Logistics, Warehouse Management, or Supply Chain.
  • Inventory Management certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of materials control or warehousing experience in oil and gas.
  • Proficiency in SAP MM module.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
