Job Description

The Operations Coordinator supports the smooth execution of all operational activities across the oil and gas division, providing essential coordination between field operations, logistics, procurement, HSE, and management teams. This role is central to ensuring that operational workflows run efficiently, reporting is accurate, and compliance with all Surinamese labor and regulatory frameworks is maintained.

Responsibilities

Operational Coordination & Planning

  • Coordinate daily and weekly operational activities across multiple field and office teams.
  • Manage crew rotation schedules, travel logistics, and accommodation bookings.
  • Maintain operational databases, tracking systems, and project status reports.
  • Liaise with contractors, service companies, and regulatory authorities.

Reporting & Document Control

  • Prepare operational reports, KPI dashboards, and management briefings.
  • Maintain document control for operational procedures, certificates, and compliance records.
  • Support ERP system (SAP / Oracle) data entry, purchase orders, and cost tracking.

HSE & Compliance

  • Ensure all operational activities comply with Suriname labor law and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate HSE training schedules and certification renewals for all field personnel.
  • Support incident reporting and corrective action tracking.
Requirements
  • BSc in Business Administration, Engineering, or Operations Management.
  • PMP or Prince2 Project Management certification (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of operations coordination experience in oil and gas.
  • Proficiency in SAP or Oracle ERP systems.
  • Working knowledge of Suriname labor law and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
