Job Description

The ROV Supervisor provides expert supervision and technical leadership of all Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) operations offshore. This senior role oversees ROV pilots, coordinates inspection and intervention activities, and ensures all ROV operations are conducted safely and effectively in support of subsea inspection, maintenance, and repair campaigns.

Responsibilities

ROV Operations Management

  • Supervise all ROV operations including inspection, survey, tooling, and intervention tasks.
  • Direct and mentor ROV Pilots and Technicians during all offshore operations.
  • Develop operational procedures, dive plans, and risk assessments for ROV deployments.
  • Liaise with the client, vessel master, and subsea engineer on all ROV activities.

Equipment Maintenance & Integrity

  • Oversee ROV system maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair activities.
  • Manage ROV tooling inventory, inspection, and certification.
  • Ensure all hydraulic systems are maintained to OEM and client specifications.

Reporting & Quality

  • Produce post-dive reports, inspection reports, and client deliverables.
  • Manage ROV data acquisition, video review, and archive.
  • Conduct crew competency assessments and maintain training records.
Requirements
  • BSc in Marine, Subsea, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • IMCA ROV Supervisor Certificate (mandatory).
  • CSWIP 3.4U Underwater Inspection or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years of ROV operations experience with at least 3 years as Supervisor.
  • Strong hydraulic systems knowledge.
  • Experience with work-class ROV systems (Schilling, SMD, Forum, Oceaneering, etc.).
  • All positions are international / expat assignments.
