Job Description

The Subsea Technician performs hands-on technical maintenance, inspection, and intervention activities on subsea equipment and systems. Working within a specialized subsea team, this role requires proficiency in ROV operations, subsea tooling, and intervention planning. All positions are international assignments servicing Suriname's deepwater offshore blocks.

Responsibilities

Subsea Equipment Operations & Maintenance

  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot subsea trees, manifolds, and control systems.
  • Support ROV-based inspection and intervention operations.
  • Perform subsea tooling preparation, deployment, and retrieval.
  • Conduct subsea equipment function testing and leak testing operations.

Intervention & Integrity

  • Participate in well intervention, ILT, and subsea inspection campaigns.
  • Maintain detailed records of all subsea maintenance and inspection activities.
  • Support the Subsea Engineer in developing intervention procedures and risk assessments.

HSE & Offshore Compliance

  • Comply with all offshore HSE requirements and subsea-specific safety protocols.
  • Participate in emergency response and offshore survival drills.
  • Maintain all offshore certifications in current status throughout the assignment.
Requirements
  • BSc or HND in Mechanical, Subsea, or Offshore Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of subsea technician experience in offshore oil and gas.
  • OPITO Subsea Technician Certificate (preferred).
  • ROV Pilot/Technician experience is a significant advantage.
  • Saturation diving awareness is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in subsea tooling, pressure testing, and hydraulic systems.
  • All positions are international / expat — Suriname nationals are encouraged to apply.
