As a Facility Supervisor, you are responsible for the management and operational activities of the facilities within an organization. You ensure that the workplaces function efficiently and safely, and that the facilities meet the needs of both employees and the organization as a whole. As a Facility Supervisor, you oversee the workplaces and facilities to provide a safe, efficient, and functional environment for employees and visitors. You play an important role in supporting business operations and ensuring operational continuity.
- Facility Management: Coordinating and managing all facilities, including offices, workspaces, meeting rooms, and common areas.
- Maintenance: Planning and supervising maintenance work, repairs, and improvements to buildings and equipment.
- Procurement and Inventory Management: Managing supplier contracts, purchasing necessary supplies, and overseeing inventory for facility services.
- Health and Safety: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and implementing security measures.
- Budget Management: Managing the facilities budget, monitoring expenses, and reporting to management.
- Space Planning: Coordinating space planning and office layout to meet the organization’s needs.
- Vendor Management: Collaborating with external service providers and vendors to ensure the delivery of facility services.
- Sustainability: Promoting sustainability initiatives within the facilities, such as energy efficiency and waste management.
- Emergency Planning: Developing and maintaining emergency plans and organizing emergency drills.
- Reporting: Providing reports and updates to management regarding facility issues and performance.
- Staff Management: Leading, training, and motivating facility staff and contractors.
Age: 25 years and older
Education: MBO (Intermediate Vocational Education)
MBO-level working and thinking skills
Diploma in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience in facility management, preferably in a supervisory role
Knowledge of facility management best practices and regulations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Problem-solving ability and decisiveness
Budget management and financial skills
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and team members
Ability to give full attention to what others are saying and actively seek ways to help people
