Job Description

As a Trading Associate, you work within the financial sector, such as at a bank, investment firm, or trading company. You support the trading teams in executing and managing financial transactions, analyzing market data, and making decisions to develop and implement profitable trading strategies. As a Trading Associate, you play a crucial role in supporting trading teams to develop and execute profitable strategies. You analyze market data, execute transactions, and contribute to the management of investment portfolios. The ability to respond quickly to market developments and manage risks is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Market Analysis: Monitoring financial markets and economic developments to identify opportunities and assess risks.

Transaction Execution: Assisting in placing and managing orders for the purchase and sale of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, derivatives, and currencies.

Risk Management: Contributing to risk assessment and management, including implementing strategies to minimize market risks.

Portfolio Management: Assisting in managing investment portfolios, including tracking performance and making recommendations for optimization.

Trading Software: Using trading software and systems to analyze market data and execute transactions.

Reporting: Generating trade reports and performance summaries for internal and external stakeholders.

Collaboration: Working closely with traders, analysts, and other team members to develop and implement strategies.

Compliance: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and trading rules.

Research: Conducting financial research to evaluate investment opportunities and support decision-making.

Requirements

Educational Level: Bachelor’s (HBO) working and thinking level

Work Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in trading

Age: From 28 years and older

Availability: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Understanding of financial markets, trading principles, and instruments
• Analytical thinking and strong quantitative skills
• Knowledge of trading software and tools is a plus
• Risk awareness and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team spirit
• Understanding of financial compliance and ethical standards
• Ability to analyze large volumes of data and extract relevant insights
• Ability to give full attention to what others are saying and actively look for ways to help people
• Ability to adapt actions in response to others and manage your own time and the time of others
