Job Description

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks within the warehouse, including receiving and storing goods, picking and packing orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role involves physical labor and the operation of various equipment to ensure efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

1. Receiving and Processing Shipments:

• Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  
  
• Record and report any discrepancies or damaged items.
  
  
• Store goods in designated areas according to inventory management procedures.
  
  

2. Order Picking and Packing:

• Accurately pick products from shelves according to order specifications.
  
  
• Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
  
  
• Handle products carefully to prevent damage.
  
  

3. Inventory Management:

• Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.
  
  
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels and movements.
  
  
• Assist in organizing and rearranging inventory as needed.
  
  

4. Warehouse Maintenance:

• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
  
  
• Dispose of waste and recycling materials properly.
  
  
• Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment and report any issues.
  
  

5. Equipment Operation:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. (if needed)
  
  
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery.
  
  

6. Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to meet daily operational goals.
  
  
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work progress and any issues.
  
  

7. Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  
  
• Participate in safety training and drills as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
  
• Proven experience as a warehouse worker or in a similar role (preferred).
  
  
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification is a plus).
  
  
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  
  
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects
  
  
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
