Job Description

As an Accounting Associate, you play an important role in supporting financial activities and maintaining accounting records within our organization. You work closely with the finance team to generate financial reports, prepare tax filings, and contribute to the accuracy of financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in maintaining financial records, including entering transactions, journal entries, and general ledger accounts
  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Processing invoices, payments, and accounts payable
  • Maintaining accounts receivable and following up on outstanding invoices
  • Preparing tax filings and ensuring compliance with tax regulations
  • Assisting with monthly and annual financial closings
  • Managing financial documentation and archiving for audit purposes
  • Contributing to financial analysis and reporting on business performance
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Collaborating with finance colleagues and other departments to streamline and improve financial data and processes

Requirements

Age: 28 years and older

Work Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in accountancy

Availability: Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Education: HBO level (Higher Professional Education)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Economics, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when processing financial data
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Team player capable of collaborating effectively within a finance team and with other departments
  • Some experience in financial roles, internships, or related projects is a plus
  • Knowledge of financial laws and regulations is an advantage
